“How big is your shadow?”
We all cast a digital footprint on the Internet with each and every interaction we have online.
Engaging with social media, the latest cloud services and new mobile devices are all essential parts of modern life, but what are the implications of leaving increasing amounts of information about ourselves online and what are the risks to companies? This talk explores how organisations all cast a digital shadow that could have serious consequences for their security and reputation and discusses options for mitigation including a demonstration of Digital Shadows – a new cyber intelligence service that secures companies’ digital footprints.
Alastair is the CEO and co-founder of Digital Shadows, a cyber threat intelligence company that protects organisations from data loss and targeted cyber attack. By applying an award-winning blend of expertise and technology Digital Shadows enables organisations to exploit social, cloud and mobile technologies while keeping their security and reputations intact.
The company has been recognized for innovation by SWIFT, Cisco and Gartner and was selected for the inaugural London FinTech Innovation Lab run by Accenture. In 2014 Digital Shadows was selected by the Bank of England to help define the CBEST framework for threat intelligence based security testing of the UK financial sector.
